We grow a wide range of plums and gages.
Our cold store keeps them fresh and in tip top condition in the hot summer weather, during the short interval between picking and selling.
The plum season starts off with the delicious, old fashioned and nearly forgotten flavour of the Early Rivers plum in early August.
Then we progress onto the Czars, a favourite jamming plum, then super-sweet Opal, (above) after which we carefully pick delightful Golden Gages and the smaller but much anticipated Greengages. ( photo on the right)
After which the enormous Avalon are ready and
we begin picking over the ripest Victoria plums,
which prove ever popular.
If you're still wanting plums after the Victoria season
has finished (usually in the second week of
September) we are picking Marjories seedling,
Wallis Wonder, Damsons, (top left photo) and
Other varieties we have in our orchard include Count D'Althonn Gage, Gibson Gage, Purple Pershore, Belle D'Louvain and Sanctus Hubertus.
